The California Raptor Center is an educational and research facility dedicated to the rehabilitation of injured and orphaned birds of prey (raptors). The Center is affiliated with the UC Davis School of Veterinary Medicine but is staffed almost entirely by volunteers and is funded by generous community donations. The non-releasable raptors are open to public view on weekdays and Saturdays.
Bret Stedman, who manages the center, sat down to tell us about the work they do. The CRC will host their fall Open House on October 18 from 9 a.m. to 3 p.m.
