The nation's struggles continue and we are sitting on the side lines. One person does make a difference and that is the nature of democracy. As Thomas Paine wrote, "these are the times that try a (wo)man's souls". Yet the potential is there. Here at UC Davis, the efforts around a general strike witnessed a direct democracy assembly and motion to strike. We are the change that we seek. Now is the time to act. It is nation time!
