Mark Twain saw Charles Dickens perform during the middle of the 1800's. Here are two takes on Dickens by Twain: one when Twain was young, and two when Twain was remembering back. Twain also had observations on Jane Auston. It's all too good to miss...not my reading, but Twain's observations.
