Celtic Songlines April 20th 2021

Music programs are only online for two weeks after they are broadcast.

The production of a program such as Celtic Songlines is often the result of a predetermined theme and other times pure serendipity.  This week it's the latter, the program developed as I listened to the artistry of brilliant Irish guitarist Arty McGlynn. I've wanted to produce a program featuring a sampling of several well-known guitarists working within the world of Celtic music. There are too many to feature within a single 58 minute program so consider this the first of several with future programs also featuring fiddlers and pipers.

This week, in addition to Arty McGlynn, we'll hear from John Doyle, John Renbourn, Bert Jansch, Welsh guitarist Gwenifer Raymond, Al Petteway and Tony McManus.

Tune in live on Tuesday from 11:00 a.m. to Noon at KDRT 95.7FM, stream at kdrt.org or subscribe to the "Celtic Songlines" podcast on iTunes

Replays KDRT 95.7FM Thursday 6-7pm, Sunday 4-5pm and Monday 11pm-12am.
