Taste, Talk and Whine: All about Wines

Tune in for weekly discussions on topics related to wine making and wine enjoyment — plus occasional guests and engagement with listeners. Topics will span the spectrum from technical growing, making, and tasting to what we're drinking to the best places to find a bottle locally.

IMPLOSION

IMPLOSION is hosted by Nick Saloman, front person of The Bevis Frond. Born and raised in London, England, Nick started buying records as a small child in the late 1950s and began going to gigs and playing in bands as a teen in the late 60s. IMPLOSION is simply an hour of Nick playing the music that he loves (psychedelia, rock, folk, beat, jazz, soul, punk, and more), with a bit of chat thrown in for good measure. Nick says: "If I like it, then there have got to be a few other people who will too.

Tune in to KDRT 95.7 FM or KDRT.org this Sunday, Oct.13, from 4 to 6:30 p.m. for a live broadcast accompanying this year's Davis Neighbors' Night Out. Your radio hosts will be program hosts Bill Buchanan (usual show Davisville) and Jim Buchanan (an original KDRT DJ who produces Live Tracks).

If you're going to one of the 116 neighborhood parties, call in to the studio while you're there for a chance to win a $50 Davis Food Co-op gift card each half-hour. Listen to the show for details. He's also an amazing visual artist. Alice was formerly a member of Shinyribs. Jon and Alice will be playing a few songs and talking about their work together in the Bright Shiners.
