Rita has giving us a gift. A book of music wherein each song is a chapter that’s heard on pages of music. A journey unfolding and ending, explained in song with her unique voice and musical arrangements. The listener can decide if this is a journey of life, a day, a relationship or battling a disease. The out come being is “to build a bridge ’cross the divide”  This CD is a mountain of lyrics, artistry, songwriting and story telling. “Put your head to the mountain, Tell me, what you hear”

Ruby Mountain String Band - Aug 28th, 2015

Ever heard of  "Old time Americana Fusion" want to know what it sounds like? Join us with the Ruby Mountain String Band. Once upon a time, in a town called Haiku (spelled backwards) four devotees of trad music bumped into each other in an organic food co-op; one was a cellist, one a fiddler, two played guitars, banjoes and sang. A banjo player and guitarist also favored song writing. All liked CapeBreton/scottish fiddle tunes. So, how many musicians walked into the co-op?.

Cliff Landis - Guitar, Vocals, Banjo and Fiddle, Julia Landis - Guitar, Vocals, Darin Smith - Cello, other things.

What can I say; I LOVED THIS SHOW!

Additionally, I'll let you in on a secret, this was the first time that I listened to, not one, but two complete Rap songs -- and enjoyed them. :)

Loved the show and thoroughly enjoyed Cory. Tell him what Michael J Fox once said; "I am careful not to confuse excellence with perfection. Excellence, I can reach for; perfection is God's business."  He was excellent.
