KDRT 95.7 FM is grassroots radio from Davis, CA, airing an eclectic mix of music and public-affairs programming. A project of nonprofit Davis Media Access, KDRT streams worldwide via KDRT.org.

Divine Intervention (1st/3rd week) – The Electric Compost Heap (2nd/4th week)

The Electric Compost Heap with Dug Deep fertlilizes the airwaves every 2nd & 4th Friday, digging through the delightful detritus of blues, soul, country, rock, reggae, jazz, funk, punk, psych, and more to concoct a rich, nutrient-dense musical humus. If there's a 5th Friday, Dug takes a spin. Dig it, Heapsters!

Roots, Shoots and Leaves' DJ Tree has a theory of music that involves a tree. In this 100th episode of Timeout Radio, we bring this show to a close as I highlight its journey over the past 4 years. It has been my privilege to produce and host a radio show that helped connect my community through good and tough times. Hear about how I launched Timeout Radio remotely in 2020 and developed the show's unique voice. A lot has happened in our world since then. Physical distances were magnified by pandemics, misinformation, social injustices, and climate change. And we were brought closer by science, technology, media, and sports. In our place of the week segment we traveled through the airwaves to over 80 places around the globe — from Antarctica to Zurich.
