The Wild Fox Party

Tune in for a wide variety of roots music — including doo-wop, gospel, jazz, blues, rock 'n' roll, Latin, African, and hillbilly/country bluegrass — from the early 1920s to contemporary times. The Wild Fox Party focuses on vocal groups , small-group ensembles, and outstanding vocalists and instrumentalists who never or hardly ever get heard. The music provides a forum for learning about history and diverse cultures, and it does so through the exposure of music as art, highlighting points in time that will last forever via the medium of audio recordings.

Hi fellow listeners and music lovers

THE WFP will be hosted by a few friends of mine here in Davis, CA in the weeks of Nov and early Dec. Hope you will tune in and  not drop out! Community radio needs your supports. Drop me a line at fdfox@jps.net and tell me if you are listening or not. If not how can I improve the program to help you enjoy the WFP more?

Hope you can join Dave and I as we begin our radio careers and steep our selves in the KDRT airwaves bringing the best in recorded and sometimes live music. I stole the recorded music line from my Mentor DJ Symphony Sid in NYC back in the early 50's to mid 60's. I dedicate our show to Alan Freed, Jocko Henderson, Mort Fegan, Ramon Bruce, Reggie Levon, Tommy Smalls,( Dr. Jives) Pat The Cat,  Georgie Hudson and Danny Stiles, Herman Amos,  Hal Jackson, Jack Walker, Alan Fredericks and Gus Gossert and Jerry Blavatt and the countless others. Also dedicated to Rich Blackmarr and Gary Salin of KDVS fame and Ray LeBov who did a doowop show in the 80's on KDVS.  Also to Brian Lee on KVMR and Opal Nations and Johnny Otis who kept the music playing on KPFA.
