Ok so I have plenty of friends who arent married but they go around saying they are or they call their women wifey I will never understand that lol but my question for this week is what made you choose to be with the person you are with now? And when you guys had kids was it on purpose or a happy "accident" Ive known my girlfriend since we were 8 we are army brats and we are now 23 years old and have pretty much been together for 12 or 13 years. I was able to download the show and got up enough courage to speak with our families so here is the update after all the cards were put on the table. My family is scottish and my girlfriend is african american and white but by looking at her you cant really tell because she took after her father who is from lagos so my dad flat out told me "luckily she (my daughter) took after our family because with those people its like forest gump you never know what youre going to get" i IMMEDIATELY became enraged because I dont understand in this day and age people can still be racist he wet on to say something to the affect/effect (not sure which one to use) of if she came out non white in color he would not be as involved in watching my daughter as he is and I used a few expletives and left my mother on the other hand apologized for my father she is like me and chooses to see people not color and said she was pushing for mariage due to us being together for so long and having a baby she thinks its the right thing to do. My girlfriends family on the other hand they have a bit more money than my family and they are pushing marriage because they dont have many family members left and dont feel comfortable leaving us all that money if we arent committed to each other in gods eyes which I can understand. So knowing these new reasons of why we were being pressured my girlfriend still doesnt want to get married but I was going to ask eventually....so if you all were in my shoes knowing these dynamics what would you do? Where do I go from here
