For half a decade, the music of The Grateful Dead, Jerry Garcia and that good ol' Northern California sound have been filling the air & cyber waves out of Davis via The Golden Road on KDRT. To celebrate the occasion, we will be airing some choice material from nearly every era of the band's history...starting with The Warlocks and riding that train just about as far as a 2 hour broadcast can take you! The sonic travels will include stops at The Fillmore, Binghampton, NY, Hollywood, The Fillmore East, Chicago, San Diego and, of course, the Bay Area Deadhead's beloved clubhouse...Winterland Arena. Also included on the trip will be one of the best interviews given by Jerry ever...an excellent illustration of the fertile mind of the man who "played the notes you wanna hear" for so many years through an amazing musical journey. Aside from the live broadcast of this show on February 19th, you can hear replays locally at KDRT 95.7 FM on Friday, February 24th from 11 pm - 1 am, and Saturday, February 25th from 3 - 5 pm.
