The Golden Road airs some excellent material from the legendary November '73 run at San Francisco's fabled Winterland Arena. From a recently released box set directly from the Grateful Dead's vault, you can hear the sonic splendor of the band at a real cool crossroads of creativity. Included is one only four versions of the "Playing In The Band" sandwich/palindrome. This release spans 9 full compact discs and contains every tune from November 9, 10 & 11...we'll get to the rest of it on another broadcast. Also on this edition of The Golden Road is a nice, little tribute to the late Norton Buffalo who just left us with some wonderful memories of his many shows all over the The Bay Area and Northern California.
