Meraki Radio

Meraki  [may-rah-kee] (adjective) This is a word that modern Greeks often use to describe doing something with soul, creativity, or love — when you put "something of yourself" into what you're doing, whatever it may be.

Meraki Radio tries to live up to the definition of this interesting word. Anyone who wants to get behind the mic and talk about meraki in their own life-- whether it be professional, historical, artistic, scientific, prolific or otherwise is encouraged to contact the show at

Meraki Radio Ep 8: Leslie & Suman from Nepal

Leslie & Suman are the first lesbian couple to gain residency in Nepal through marriage, and won a supreme court case earlier this year. Leslie talks about some of the mechanics of this process, and Suman provides insight into the Nepalese culture and discusses the varied geographies of the country, as well as their 6 seasons-- currently they are in monsoon season. Francis joins in, and asks some questions about farming in Nepal. Leslie discusses a seed saving project she is working on. 

Meraki Radio Episode 7: A no show guest, but a great show nonetheless!

In this topsy-turvy episode of Meraki Radio, our guest Chason sleeps through the show while we discuss the South. Chason is a friend of Alison's from Montgomery, and she explains a bit about Chason while hoping he will show up. Francis Resta co-hosts and talks about some of his military work in Alabama, Georgia and tells some funny stories about his time in the South.

Francis hopped on the mic a bit later and we discussed family separation, issues with war and Francis peppered in many stories from his past.
