3rd Streaming Feb 24th, 2021: Brubeck to Barber and Beyond

From Brubeck to Barber, jazz to classical, and a generous helping of film music classics too - that's the mix for this week's 3rd Streaming with Gary Chew. The list starts off with Cole Porter, Howard Brubeck, David Diamond, Jean Sibelius. The latter part of the 2nd hour has been programmed this week especially  for film lovers.  Three significant composers of music for cinema are included:  Alexandre Desplat, Max Steiner & a man you might not know well by name only:  Herman Hupfeld.  But you DO know of a song he wrote for one of Hollywood's truly classic pictures.

Excellent show with a wide variety of music. I particularly like the symphonic works you play, including the rarely heard symphonies by 20th century masters.
