The Grapevine pays homage to the sounds created on the electric bass guitar by Donald "Duck" Dunn. Soul music would never have evolved and sounded so fine if it weren't for him. The proof is in the recordings...both live and in-studio. Each song on this broadcast features "Duck" Dunn keeping the bottom line pegged right on the money.
Here's an excellent vid of Booker T. & The MG's laying down a supafine live version of "Time Is Tight"...note "Duck" Dunn swinging that bass like a big ol' pole!
