This edition of Live Tracks features a concert recording of the local Latin jazz group "Som Nosso" (our sound) who played with Yolo Mambo at the Thursday Live! show at the Odd Fellows Hall Feb. 2. An international band, its members hail from Brazil, Sweden, Mexico and Davis. Listeners are also treated to Bossa Nova from the classic "Jazz Samba" recording with Stan Getz & Charlie Byrd circa 1962. To honor International Women's Day, the second hour of Live Tracks highlights several local female singer/songwriters, including Eve West Bessier, Rita Hosking, Megan Smith, Katie Henry, Linda Duval & Cathy Speck.

I heard this awesome

I heard this awesome bossanova band on the radio and called in to find out who it was. Wrote it down on a piece of paper but lost it, only to find it just recently underneath a pile of stuff on my desk. Googled Som Nossa and it brings me right back to KDRT.org. thanks guys
