Loved the introduction to the "band" :-) Fun Stuff. Great to hear Wayne and Forest...getting some crackling in my speakers tho', maybe turned up too loud in the big studio?
Yes indeed the big mikes were too hot and we were too close, especially Forest's guitar. We had a cracklin'great time. But I can just hear Mr. Buchanan muttering about Wayne always being too far in the red. So come on up to Sutter Creek on the 18th and hear us in the flesh. And/or come on up to Lazy Summer Daze (they're calling it LSD for some reason - look at the line up). We'll be on the Acoustic stage at 3:00 on Saturday the 25th.

About Wayne Hagen
Wayne is a founding member of the California Jug Band Associaton (CJBA) and a member of its Board of Directors. In 2002 Wayne and his banjo playing buddy Andy began the International Jug Band Festival in Sutter Creek, California. The Festival just completed its sixth year by presenting jug bands from Japan and Oregon as well as a number of bands from around California. This festival has given birth to new jug band festivals as far away as Louisville, Kentucky, as well as the CJBA.
Wayne has been playing jug since 1979 and currently is active in two bands - the legendary Babar Jug Band from San Francisco and the upstart Aesthetic Cling. But he'll pull out his jug and play with anyone. He also tries to play the mandolin and is a big fan of Vol Stevens and Yank Rachell. His passion for jug band music has turned him into a walking encyclopedia of the genre. Go ahead ask him a question, dare ya. Getting a chance to share his love for jug band music on KDRT is a great joy.
