Part of the Yolo Basin Foundation's Gaggle of Galleries, this event will start with the Delta Cross Channel, where participants will get an an overview of the Delta and its water issues from Campbell Ingram, the executive director of the Delta Conservancy. He’ll also lead the group on a tour of Twitchell Island to observe the phenomenon of subsidence and discuss research projects to reverse it.
Next the group will visit Locke to learn about the Chinese influence in the Delta. After a picnic lunch, the exploration will continue at Greene and Hemly’s pear and apple operation and Bogle Winery, where the group will learn about agriculture in this unique ecosystem.
