The Davis Art Salon circumvents the traditional system of exhibition by creating a platform where the community curates. The salon is an open-source event that accepts submissions from any member of the Davis, Sacramento, or surrounding local communities, and any person in attendance can vote privately for whom they think should win. The salon's current installation is "Degenerate Art" at the Nelson Gallery.
