Steinbeck's Skeleton's Last Song

Music programs are only online for two weeks after they are broadcast.

Two weekends ago, Rocket's band Steinbeck's Skeleton released their last song, Pillhead, having already been broken up for a couple weeks. The song is available on soundcloud and bandcamp. Rocket plays the song and talks about why being in a band is really cool and a great opportunity become a better musician. On a similar note (no pun intended) Rocket talks about the upcoming Mark Wood concert at DHS featuring choirs and orchestras from around Davis. Mark Wood is a famous electric violinist who is bringing his whole band along to give an authentic rock and roll concert experience to DJUSD students and concert attendees this Saturday. Rocket talks about Whole Earth this past weekend and gives a debrief on Big Day(s) of Giving last Tuesday and Wednesday. PSA: if the front wheel on your bike or the quick release is loose, get it checked out or your wheel might decide to not be attatched to your bike anymore while you're riding!!! Rocket reads the beginning of "Zero Hour", a short story from The Illustrated Man by Ray Bradbury. Music for this show also includes Stevie Wonderland by Mark Wood (a Stevie Wonder compilation the Chamber Orchestra and Jazz Choir will be performing on Saturday) and MakeDamnSure by Taking Back Sunday
